Panda Bears Lesson Plan for September

Panda Bears (3-5 year olds) September
Sept. 15-25

We worked on:
- Adjusting to the new environment and new rules. We have five learning centers: reading center, math center, block center, dressing center, science center, and car center. Children explore in different learning centers.
- Getting to know all our new friends and their “Chinese names” and teachers through rhymes. (我是贝贝老师，你是谁? 我是xxx” (I’m Peipei, who are you? I’m xxx. 我是贝贝老师，他是谁? 他是 xxx” (I’m Peipei, who is he/she? He/she is xxx.)
- Learning manners, when to say “please, thank you and sorry”, “请，谢谢，对不起” through reading stories.
- Learning that washing hands is important through a story and singing a song, 搓搓搓搓搓，我们小手搓小手，左搓搓，右搓搓，小手手干净了。
- Learning that it is important to brush teeth and how to brush them through stories and playing game with rhythms

下面的牙齿，下面的牙齿，下面的牙齿，刷一刷
左边刷刷，右边刷刷，咕噜咕噜…….”

Sept. 28-Oct. 02
During this week, we celebrated our special holiday: Autumn Festival (中秋节)
Language: Story: 中秋节的故事，射太阳的勇士。
We shared the story about what we do on the holiday, what we eat and why we celebrate our holiday.
Science: We observed the shape of the moon and discussed what we saw the night before during circle and drew it the paper.
Art: We made our “moon” book.
