Tuition and Fees


2010 – 2011 TUITION & FEE SCHEDULE

Tuition

Tuition is for all grades and for the entire academic year: $13,400

Payment Schedule
A non-refundable deposit of 10% of tuition (=$1,340) must accompany the enrollment agreement.  The remaining balance of tuition and fees is payable:

  • One-payment by July 1, 2010 (including a $300 discount): $11,985
  • Two payments
  1. by July 1, 2010: $6,143
  2. by October 1, 2010: $6,143
  • 9 installments (from July 2010 to March 2011 including $25 monthly adminstrative fee): $1,390

Notes:

  • There are limited part-time spaces available for Pre-K students.  However, full-time students have priority over part-time students in admissions. Please contact the school office for part-time program tuition.
  • Tuition payments are processed by Tuition Express via direct deposit.
  • If there are open spaces and a qualified student enrolls in the course of the academic year, tuition will be prorated accordingly.

Additional Fees

  • Application fee (non-refundable): $75
  • Material and activity fee (Covers class materials, snacks, short field trips, admissions to special events, visiting assembly performers or presenters.): $250
  • A Capital Levy of $1,000 is assessed for each newly enrolled student to defray costs from capital enhancements. Families with part-time students will pay the prorated amount. Families who receive financial assistance are exempt from the capital levy.

Optional Programs with Additional Fees

Shu Ren offers the following optional programs: Extended Day Care program, After-School Enrichment classes, Vacation and Holiday Camps, and Summer Programs.

Extended Day Care (EDC)

Extended Day care is available from 7:30am to 8:30am and from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.  Morning care from 7:30am to 8:30am is free.  Shu Ren offers three payment plans for extended day care: an unlimited usage package for those needing daily care (excluding vacation/holiday camps and summer camps), a pre-arranged regular use plan for those needing care a few days a week, and drop-in care for those needing occasional care.

  • Unlimited usage (excludes vacation/holiday camps and summer camps): $2700 / year
  • Pre-arranged regular use (billed monthly): $8 / hour
  • Drop-in care: $11 / hour

After-School Enrichment Classes

Additional fees apply.  Students who enroll in unlimited extended care and sign up for any enrichment class will pay the difference between the cost of unlimited extended care and the cost of the enrichment class.

Vacation and Holiday Camps

There are days in fall, winter, and spring breaks during which Vacation and Holiday camps are held.  Enrollment in these camps is optional and can be made on a daily or weekly basis.

Daily rate (8:30am – 3pm): $75

Extended Day Care during Camps

  • Daily rate (7:30am – 8:30am, 3pm – 6pm): $15
  • Pre-arranged regular use (billed monthly): $8 / hour
  • Drop-in care: $11 / hour

Summer Programs

Schedule and fees for Summer Programs will be announced each spring.
